Michigan — Income Shares Model
Michigan uses the Income Shares model with the Michigan Child Support Formula. Both parents' net incomes are used. The formula calculates base support, then adjusts for overnights using a complex parenting time offset. Medical, childcare, and educational expenses are added separately.
